Just a quick note to say that my daughter had some fantastic GCSE exam results which exceeded her predicted grades in nearly all subjects, in some of them by quite a margin. We are very, very proud of her and she is of course very happy indeed to have done so well. It was good to see her do her revision diligently in the months leading up to her exams and she worked really hard across the board so all credit to her for achieving such brilliant results. Having said that, I also believe that by attending your revision courses her preparation received some much needed structure and it also gave her the confidence that she could "do it". She also got the kick-starts and motivation she needed to keep going throughout year 11 whilst also filling in some gaps she had because of inconsistent teaching at her school. So a big thank you to all the team and tutors, you have done an amazing job!

As a parent who has opted for investing in education via the State sector and then funding additional support via private tuition and extra-curricular, OXSS may seem expensive - however the quality and outcome of the investment is worth it. Our daughter lacked confidence in A level Further Maths, OXSS were customer focused and attentive from the outset, understanding specific needs and tailoring to options for A Level. The course was engaging and tutoring impressive. The outcome was not just a A grade which was expected but A*. Amazing OXSS, a hidden gem within Oxford - do seek it out.

I am just emailing to say the Easter Course week was amazing, it definitely made me feel more confident with my chosen subjects, as well as being a lot of fun, and I will be recommending it to other students at my school in the years below.

He valued highly this half term revision course. He found the content stimulating and useful. The week was a great motivator and provided valuable feedback for what he needed to work on. Additionally he enjoyed meeting other students on the course. The tutors were interested, engaged and provided unique insights.

He was extremely helpful and supportive, provided beneficial advice and study techniques to help my studies. I have learned so much of the course over the week with him.

Just a thank you tor helping my son, he really enjoyed the courses and got into his first choice of university. He achieved the grades he needed and the grade for his weakest subject went from Es to a C on results day so really it was life changing for him, so thank you. The courses were excellent and the booking process straightforward.

Thank you so much for arranging these three days. We didn't know what to expect - and he was rather reluctant to go. However. The tutors were great. The English and Maths tutors were bang on and covered a lot of relevant ground. He was so impressed by the maths tutors ability to make it look easier. It's just a shame that we don't have access to any support like that on a more regular basis. The gentleman historian was very knowledgeable and engaging too. The reports and suggested actions are much appreciated. Thank you very much to you and all your (very organised) team. It was a great experience.

Sincere thanks to all the tutors who worked with James throughout the week, he is very grateful for the time, support, availability and level of tutoring he received. Looking back, I now wish he actually spent at least another week or two on this program. The tutor really made an amazing impact... it's so great when a tutor manages to establish a personal rapport in such a short period of time and how this translates into students' willingness to work just a little harder...

Thanks for sending the three reports through, really helpful (and for the future) and good to read. We were not sure how he would engage with the week but he did. We were sure in the quality of the tutoring…..but it must have been exceptional! Thanks again for everything.

I want to pass on our thanks to everyone at OXSS, she had a fabulous week and came home feeling so much more confident in her ability and with a renewed purpose! She said her tutor was wonderful, explained everything so well and lessons were so helpful. She has asked to come again in the Christmas and Easter holidays next academic year! She felt supported and made some great friends too.

He said that the teacher was really excellent and his one and half days spent with him were better than the whole term with his school teacher! Thought that you might appreciate some feedback on the recent revision course that Sam did over the Easter holidays. She said that this was one of her best holiday weeks. The teaching she said was just simply amazing, on another level. I can’t thank you guys enough, not only did she enjoy and understand chemistry but she felt that she was part of a unique group of students all with the same purpose. She made some fantastic friends and it was really a week to remember for a long time still to come. She is very keen to join your May and Summer camps. Will be arranging those in the next week if bookings are open. Please extend our gratitude to the wonderful teaching and support staff who made our kids experience what it was.

Our daughter had tutoring with OXSS towards her IGCSEs and without doubt the tutoring through OXSS helped her achieve excellent results. She had tutors for a range of subjects and without exception they were all excellent; they really honed in on her weaknesses and areas she needed help with and gave her the confidence to perform well.

I've been meaning to send you this mail for a while now, but wanted to wait for his new results to come in. You'll be happy to know that he was the only person in his Economics A' Level set to sit the retake exam and actually move his predicted grade up. No mystery there: hard work and top notch tutoring can make all the difference. Thank you, to you and all his tutors, for helping him achieve this. It was quite a challenging period for him, bang in the middle of his summer holidays, but he saw the benefits early on and just cracked on with it. Who knows, he may even plan a second visit before the big event? What I particularly appreciated about my experience with OXSS was the speed of communication, the dedication and the generous and early and transparent sharing of information. I felt that both teaching and administration staff were invested in their roles, taking time to write quite in depth reports and always on hand to answer queries and solve minor hiccups.

I am writing to let you know that we received the results for the IGCSE exam for English. We want to thank you for the excellent environment provided by Oxford Science Studies and all the teachers that helped her for the final preparation.

Just wanted to let you know that George passed his three A Levels and has a place at University. Sixth form has been a long and rocky road, but with the support of his Oxford studies tutors on the revision courses at Christmas and Easter he has managed to finish his education with three A Level passes which is something we weren’t too sure would be the case. Please can you pass on our thanks to his tutors.

My daughter attended a one day Christmas revision session and then a week long Easter session for A level. Overall she scored A*AB, with which we are delighted. The biggest success, however, was her Classical Studies grade. She struggled with several staff changes at her school and achieved Grade C in her mock examinations - after your support she secured an A in her final examination! We are extremely pleased and hope to use your services again for our second daughter who begins A Levels this year.

I really enjoyed coming to OXSS and I definitely improved my grades as a result! I had a great time and I genuinely will miss it! I am quite sad as to how events turned out this year as I was looking forward for OXSS. Thank you very much for all your help and do stay safe!

Simply put... I went from a D to an A...with only 3 sets of sessions. I was really struggling with maths and I couldn't understand why but just a few days with these courses and I was really understanding how having an excellent teacher can help. All the teaching staff are friendly and clearly love the subject. I remember each one individually and everything they taught us. The environment was very calm and small classes make asking questions easy and getting detailed answers in return. The coordinating staff are always helping out and solving any issues. They're all extremely friendly and supportive. Certainly money well spent as I made my first choice and vastly exceeded what I thought I could achieve!

My Summer Course Experience

When I first decided to enrol in a revision course, I expected noisy hallways, unwilling and disruptive kids, impatient teachers, inedible food, and uncomfortable mattresses with uncooperative roommates. However, after arriving with my bag and arms full of textbooks, I stood awkwardly at the door feeling like an unwelcome stranger, but was greeted with smiling faces and open arms from everyone around me. I bonded instantly with my roommate over being locked out of our room, only to find forgotten keys in our pockets, and connected through a shared interest in academics, as well as the anxiety of being in a new place all alone. When it came time for lessons, instead of the bustling, cramped halls I feared, I encountered wide, quiet corridors filled with focus and quiet rooms with people who understood the need to improve and had the desire to work, which was sorely lacking in most schools I attended. We built camaraderie by laughing about badly drawn diagrams that looked like a rabbit, misspelled words in class, melting ice cream, and near-miss buses. The teachers I met were kind and receptive, understanding the importance of balancing humour and work with detailed notes and scribbled drawings. This environment fostered conversations and strengthened concentration, creating a space of both hard work and enjoyment. As a result, I was able to progress further than I ever imagined in just a week, breaking down limits and expectations, while still finding time to relax and recharge. This combination gave me one of the most enjoyable and productive weeks of lessons, exceeding my own expectations and those of the course, and made me believe that maybe my GCSEs will be manageable after all.
